Plumbing Lines
Over time plumbing lines can become deteriorated and begin to plug up with solids. When this happens it is time to replace the old line with new PVC plumbing. D & J Septic always installs a clean out near the house in case something gets clogged in the line in the future. The line can be snaked out through the clean out, avoiding the mess that can occur when trying the snake the line from inside the house. When disturbing the lawn we try to save the sod and back fill the area making it look almost like we were never there.
Sometimes when the plumbing line is not carefully installed originally settling may occur. When this happens it can create a dip in the line. It is easy for paper and debris to become lodged in this dip creating a clog in the line. D & J Septic recently replaced a line that had a dip and was plugged with grease from the garbage disposal. This is a good example of why it is better to not use a garbage disposal in your septic system.
